10 days of Self-Care
I’m currently in the midst of 6 days of annual leave. I never take leave at this time of year, and I’m questioning why? It’s cold, dark and I’m tired, surely that’s the perfect time to take time off work. This means 11 days, if you include weekends, of free time. In that time, I will be making the most of playtimes with little Miss, crafts and some days out. At the same time I thought it could be a perfect opportunity to reset before the Christmas season properly arrives. Do those things I always intend to do, but don’t always make time for as well as intentionally eating healthier and drinking more water.
So what’s the plan? Well the following, I will endeavour to do each day;
- 10 minutes yoga
- 10 – 15 minutes walking, outside
- 8 glasses of water each day
- 10 minutes of meditation
- Daily body brushing
- Remember to take my multivitamin
- Drink a cup of green tea
On top of that, there’s a few one off things I would like to do. I’ve already got a spa evening booked with my friend for her birthday, but I’d also like to do an at home facial, mani and pedi. I’ll be keeping up with my crafts too because I find those quite meditative, especially knitting, and I’m planning on introducing little Miss to some simple Christmas crafts.
The aim is that by the time I return to work in a week’s time, I’ll feel bright as a button and ready to end the year strong.
